Mind blowing awesome. Spartacus: Blood and Sand

Time to pull out your diaries and circle Wednesday August 18th , with a red hot pen, because something blow-your-mind awesome is about to hit your screens.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand is a visually spectacular powerhouse of blood, gore, sex and violence. It's pretty awesome. The magic is in the potent mix of ridiculously good special effects, battle sequences and tension — a provocative depiction of the rise of Rome's most infamous gladiator. Sexy stuff.

Being party season and all, GO! is not only offering the series premiere in a two-hour movie-length version, but is also leading in with some pretty impressive, big battle, epic movies: Troy, 300 and Meet the Spartacans (visit the TV Guide for more details).

The actors in this new series, are nothing short of, well … hot. Aussie actor Andy Whitfield stars as the legendary Spartacus and Lucy Lawless (yes, Xena the warrior princess herself) stars as his insatiable wife Lucretia.

If you move the screening of a show, it has to happen before the publishing the Guide in the SMH. I missed the final episode of Spartacus. This is a recurring problem with GO! I have missed episodes of Fringe due to this last minute rescheduling problem. Please sort this out. It's frustrating for all (as noted by my fellow disgruntled viewers).

Every Wednesday evening I get all my jobs out of the way by 9.30 so i can sit down and watch Spartacus. Tonight I find out its on at 10.30 ??? Why would you do that ? Not happy.

Please Go programmers, don't rip off about the only show on TV I watch regularly. I didn't care that you ripped the first series apart, but now I have to forgo seeing it because you've pushed Fringe into the 9.30 timeslot and Spartacus to 10.30? It's not a crap show worthy of jerking back into no-mans land time slots. If you don't want to support it please give it to Channel 10 or a competing syndicate so it at least gets the GO it deserves!

Having missed the final episode I am so frustrated with GO! Also it was cut to smithereens.

So the double episode last week was the final. Well that ended with a whimper. I think the plot was so disjointed after having so much cut out that the finale did not seem as though it could be the end. Is there going to be another series? We need to see the rest of the story. Goodness me what a complete hash of this Go has made. I am certainly not going to watch any more dramas on Go, what a complete waste. Lets all tell Go that if they are going to go the expense of showing things like this to do it properly. How can we get across to them our strong feelings about how extraordinarily bad this was? Ideas?

I first saw the parts of the show Sparticus in Ireland on free to air unsensored and i loved it, I was delighted to see that it was about to be shown in Sydney on "GO" and have tried to follow it since BUT what a mess.. GO you have turned off a lot of potential viewers, firstly the censorship must have cut out about 25% of the show from what I saw in Ireland, what a shame in an adult time slot, adults will be watching!!! and changing the start and end times what a mess. BYE BYE "Go"

I missed the last 1 hour of the 2 hr finale, was not aware it was running 2 hrs, agree many breaks occur whereby sentence cut short, then sometimes return on another scene. how on earth can you view it on computer, I see that this video is not available for download, any tips anyone cheers

Am i missing something or did channel Go completely skip an episode of Spartacus Blood and Sand??? If so who was the bright spark responsible for this? Brilliant show even though the censorship often ruins the plot in an eposode and now the season ended with a big chunk if the plot missing. i wont be watching channel go again...instead i will just download the whole series uncut for free.

Now after reading these comments I understand why the show is so disjointed, although last nights was the most ridiculous. Sorry Go, leaving you way behind and going to download or buy the series (do you perhaps have an investment in the DVD version). Will be very wary of watching other programs on Go in future if this is the quality of what is left to us. Bye bye Go, sadly we must part.
